Amy and Joe’s wedding at Ting Stadium in Holly Springs was was one of the most unique celebrations I’ve had the chance to be part of.
A Wedding at the Ballpark
Home to the Holly Springs Salamanders, the ballpark became the setting for a wedding that embraced everything the venue had to offer. From exchanging vows on the pitcher’s mound to celebrating with family and friends throughout the stadium, every part of Ting Stadium became part of their wedding day.
Saying “I Do” on the Pitcher’s Mound
The ceremony took place on the pitcher’s mound while guests watched from the stadium seating overlooking the field. As Amy made her way down the aisle, her processional music echoed throughout the stadium, creating an unforgettable beginning to the celebration.
It was a setting unlike a traditional wedding venue, but one that perfectly reflected Amy and Joe’s vision for their day.
Cocktail Hour Around the Ballpark
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the upper concourse along the first base line for cocktail hour and dinner. Instead of gathering in one location, everyone had the opportunity to experience the stadium in their own way.
Guests played cornhole on the field, ran the bases, took photos in the photo booth, and even had the chance to meet Sal the Salamander during cocktail hour. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged everyone to explore the ballpark while spending time with family and friends before the evening continued.
A Family Race Around the Bases
Before the dancing began, Amy and Joe added one more memorable moment to the day.
Amy, Joe, and their children lined up for a race around the bases while family and friends cheered them on from the concourse. I had the opportunity to step into the role of stadium announcer as they rounded each base, making the race feel just like game day. It was a fun family moment that perfectly embraced everything that made a wedding at Ting Stadium so unique.
Dancing Under the Stadium Lights
As the evening continued, everyone gathered on the third base side of the upper concourse for the reception. Amy and Joe shared their first dance as husband and wife, followed by the parent dances before inviting everyone onto the dance floor to celebrate.
Even as the dance floor filled, guests relaxing elsewhere along the concourse could still enjoy the music while catching up with family and taking in the view of the field. The layout of the stadium allowed everyone to celebrate in their own way while still feeling connected to the party.
A Wedding to Remember
Amy and Joe created a wedding that fully embraced everything Ting Stadium had to offer. From saying “I do” on the field to celebrating with games, family activities, and dancing throughout the ballpark, every part of the day reflected their personalities and gave guests an experience they won’t soon forget.
Thank you, Amy and Joe, for trusting me to be part of such a creative and memorable celebration. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
Kind Words from Amy & Joe
“DJ Joey B brought the energy and kept it up all night. His love of music and curiosity about our musical taste was a fresh approach compared to other DJs we talked to. Joey attended our final venue walkthrough and gave some incredible suggestions for creating different music zones and vibes throughout the night.
He understood our vision and helped bring it to life. We highly recommend DJ Joey B if you want a DJ who listens to you and brings the sense of sound alive during your big event.”
