Amber and Nathan Brown 9-30-2017

“Oh what a night. Late September in Twenty Seventeen.”   I had the privilege of DJing the Wedding of Nathan Brown and Amber White.  They chose the Harvest House in Ramseur NC for their wedding venue. This location in the rural part of central North Carolina is breathtaking. Amber and Nathan chose the barn for their wedding and reception.  The house was used for the buffet line and hors-d’oeuvres.  They chose 4:30 pm for the start of their ceremony.  The lighting was perfect. With the sun high in the sky, the natural light blended perfectly with the additional light from the chandeliers.

This also set up the reception perfectly. After dinner as the sun was just dropping below the treeline, the dance part of the reception was just getting ready to take off. The  Edison bulbs that were used in the lighting ropes gave light to the tables and the chandeliers provided light for the dance floor. The look was magical.

As the evening came to an end, everything came off beautifully. Another beautiful couple starts their life together.

Nathan and Amber chose wonderful music for their wedding. They used songs that had meaning to them.   The bridal party processed in, to an instrumental version of “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King. Amber chose to walk down the aisle to an instrumental version of “Here Comes The Sun” by The Beatles. The bridal party recessed to “Higher and Higher” by Jackie Wilson. As the wedding party was announced for the reception they walked in, to “Do You Love Me” by The Contours. The couples first dance was to “To Make You Feel My Love” by Adele. Amber danced with her Uncle Ron to “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack, and Nathan danced with his mother to “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.  For the garter retrieval and toss they chose “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke, and for the bouquet toss, they chose “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper.

The couple decided to start off the dance part of the reception with “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles. As a dedication to her mother and all of the other mothers at the reception, Amber asked me to play “Mamma’s Song” by Carrie Underwood. To end the night The couples final dance was to “Oh, Darling” by The Beatles.
