The final weeks are all about confirmation, communication, and making sure everything is in place so you can actually enjoy your wedding day.

If you are earlier in the planning process, start here:

2 to 3 Weeks Before

Finalize and communicate key details with your vendors.

  • Send your must-have photo list to your photographer and videographer
  • Deliver your final song list to your DJ or band
  • Break in your wedding shoes
  • Schedule your final haircut or color

1 Week Before

This is your final confirmation window.

  • Provide your final guest count to your caterer and venue
  • Confirm all vendor arrangements and timelines
  • Share your full timeline with your wedding party
  • Assign day-of responsibilities (bustle, gifts, vendor contact, etc.)
  • Prepare final payments and tips for vendors
  • Finalize seating chart and place cards
  • Pack for your honeymoon

2 to 3 Days Before

Shift into execution mode.

  • Pick up attire or confirm delivery
  • Finalize ceremony order and wedding party positioning
  • Deliver items to your venue (place cards, favors, menus, etc.)
  • Reconfirm all vendor details and arrival times
  • Confirm transportation schedules
  • Deliver welcome bags to hotels if applicable

The Day Before

Keep things simple and organized.

  • Provide vendors with an emergency contact (not you)
  • Prepare any remaining payments
  • Get rest and avoid last-minute changes

The Night Before

Focus on your rehearsal and spending time with your people.

  • Attend and run your ceremony rehearsal
  • Bring ceremony items to the venue if needed
  • Give your marriage license to your officiant
  • Attend your rehearsal dinner
  • Give gifts to your wedding party if you plan to

Wedding Day

At this point, your job is to be present and enjoy the day.

  • Give rings to your best man and maid of honor
  • Provide final envelopes for officiant or vendors
  • Make sure your planner, coordinator, or point person is the main contact for vendors
  • Assign someone to assist the photographer with identifying key people

Everything else should already be in motion.
