Ceremony Songs

Ceremony Processional Songs  – Ceremony Processional Songs List  – This can be two very different songs.  One for the attendants and a completely different song for the bride.  Have fun with this.  Allow a little personality to show in these choices.

Ceremony Recessional Songs  – Ceremony Recessional Song List  – What music are you going to go back down the aisle to? Do you want the traditional “Wedding March” by Mendelssohn or something more contemporary like “Love Never Felt So Good” by Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake?  Pick a song that makes you remember this moment for the rest of your life.

Reception Songs

Bridal Party Introduction Songs  – 111 Best Wedding Entrance Songs  – You have the chance to really set the mood for the reception. The song that you chose to have your bridal party make their entrance to can set the mood for the rest of the evening. Whether you want the newest hit or that classic song that everyone knows make sure that the song you pick sets the mood that you want for your day.

Bridal Party Dance Songs  – 100 Best Wedding Party Dance Songs At Receptions  – These songs can be used to allow the bridal party to dance into the reception as they are being announced. They could also be a great first dance with the entire bridal party on the dance floor.

First Dance Songs  – First Dance Song List  – First Dance songs are the one song that Brides and Grooms will suffer over for the weeks leading up to their wedding.  Some couples know exactly what that special song will be, others not so much.  Here is a list of popular first dance songs that will help you figure out what your forever song will be.

Father-Daughter Dance Songs  – Father-Daughter Dance Song List  – This dance is a true right of passage for most fathers. They now have to realize that their “Little Girl” has grown up into a beautiful woman. A beautiful ballad or meaningful country song seems to be the most popular. Teary eyes are a given.  Just understand that this dance is something that dad will never forget!

Mother-Son Dance Songs  – Mother-Son Dance Song List  – This dance is to help your mom accept that you are no longer their Little Boy anymore, so I recommend choosing a song that she likes! This dance will be hard for her to get thru. Some of these songs are lengthy, but you don’t have to dance thru the entire song.  Let your DJ know and they can fade out at any point that you want. You should dance for at least 2 to 3 minutes. Tip: This dance will mean more to your mother, so make her feel special by offering her a special note, gift, or memento to remember this day.

Cake Cutting Songs  – Cake Cutting Song List  – The cake cutting is a tradition that dates back to Roman days. This act is done to show the couple working together as a couple. The act of feeding the cake to each other symbolizes the commitment to take care of one another. Music for this event is nice but unless you make a specific mention of it, it will mostly go unnoticed.

Bouquet Toss Songs  – Bouquet Toss Songs – The Bouquet Toss is a fun rite of passage at any reception.  The Bride and Groom get a chance to ham it up and get their friends involved in a fun way. The Bouquet Toss Song should be the same. This is a song that can either be sweet or racy.  Before picking a song please consider the audience, as older guests may be sensitive to language.

Garter Toss Songs  – Garter Toss Song List  – Many couples will use one song for the retrieval of the garter as well as the tossing of the garter.  You don’t have to.  The Mission Impossible Theme works great for when you are retrieving the garter and then you can play I’m Too Sexy for the toss. The garter DOES NOT fly very far, so Grooms, you might want to practice.

Last Dance Songs  – Last Dance Song List  – The Last Dance should not be the last thing you think about when planning your music. This song will be the last one you hear before leaving the reception. This is probably the last time you dance with your partner that night. Pick a song that will carry you through, and make sure you end the night on a high note.
